As digital nomads, finding a cafe to work can often feel like hunting for a needle in a haystack. Worry not – we’re here to save you from the unreliable BS that plagues the Internet, and take you to spots in Rome where your laptop can actually serve its purpose.

Barnum: Where Brunch Trumps Business

Once a sanctuary for laptop warriors, Barnum has succumbed to the siren song of brunch and artisanal coffee. Forget about settling in for a work session here; you’ll be swiftly ousted after a measly 20 minutes. Do come here for brunch though – it’s really something.

Faro: The Coffee Temple

Amidst the quick pit-stop nature of the Italian coffee scene, Faro stands as a beacon of bean mastery. But don’t be fooled by its aromatic allure – laptops are about as welcome here as a cat in a dog park.

Big Star: More Pints Than Productivity

Big Star may lure you in with promises of a cozy seat, but don’t expect to get any work done amidst the clinking of pint glasses and raucous pub banter. This is a place for imbibing, not inboxing.

Chiostro del Bramante: Aesthetic Over Amenities

Sure, the Chiostro del Bramante offers Instagram-worthy views, but don’t expect comfort to accompany the scenery. Power outlets are as scarce as water in the Gobi desert, and most seating is too tiny to do anything more than check your email. Preferably on your phone.

Molino Bakery: Ladyfingers Over Laptops

As the name suggests, this is a bakery. The breakfast crowd will daily assault the bar area and have their cappuccino and cornetto standing, Italian style. Alas, for digital nomads the reality is a harsh one – if you want to sit down and work, be prepared to fork over some extra dough and abide by strict time limit of an hour, unless you find a particularly kind waiter and the place is empty.

Taba Cafe: Where Work Goes to Die

This one as a work option is so preposterous that we haven’t even reviewed it. When we asked them about working there, they looked at us as if we’d just escaped from a mental institution. Save yourself the embarrassment and opt for a leisurely drink instead – your sanity will thank you.
