Caffè Palazzo Merulana

The cafe and bookshop at Palazzo Merulana is open from 9am to 8pm from Wednesday to Sunday. There is a row of 4 tables that are reserved for remote workers where you can stay as long as you like, the rest of the space rightly prioritizes regular customers so you are welcome to stay as long as there is space.

The coffee is not specialty but standard, dark roast Italian style, for a fair price. The service is very friendly and welcoming.

There is no background music and the place is usually not too full, especially in the morning, which makes for a work environment quieter than most. The chairs very comfortable, too, despite not being cushioned.
